When I was a teenager, I thought the adventure was going to places like Fez, Chiapas or Vancouver Island. Well, I went to those places and had an affair but over the years that I heard was thousands of miles from home to a totally alien culture and language is not the only way to adventure.
Before I was 20 I was a veteran world traveler takes the limits of adventure and was ready for more. But I thought even back then there was a fly in this ointment. I had to do with the anecdotal evidence or what I observed in “real” world. Adventure was not as simple as buying a ticket and go somewhere.
Many people I knew would go to exotic places and are not made at all. Part of this was his means of transportation, lodging and the other party thinking. It is something like: ‘Wow, let’s see and do, but do not lower the hair is not interacting in ways that are not culturally comfortable for us. Summary: We are going to travel, but we will not experience.
So I met the travelers who had no wiser world that my neighbor across the street who never leaves the county.
But, hey, do not be surprised if you find out who started a little late. 20 years after taking youth trips I took another trip. The woman and her son spent the summer down on the farm in Veracruz, but I had to stay in California for work. During that period, I removed ten days to drive up to Canada. It was the first trip I had taken myself in 20 years.
But it was the same. Never auto-stop. I had a car and a motorcycle. I had a credit card and not just some well budgeted cash. I stayed in a hotel and not once had to sleep on the floor or on the beach or on the floor to someone in the kitchen. Even back before my 10 days was over. On each trip I had taken again was always late getting back home. The reality was that it was not the same person who was 20 years ago.
If you are young, make your adventure as soon as possible. Do not listen to those who say that everything we should do is study and work. There will be plenty of time for that, but the adventure is a fragile thing and not something that can be postponed forever. Over time, you can lose.
In fact, if you’re lucky as if I were you find someone who will tell you how much I regret not venture out when they were young. Now, many middle-aged men my age are obsessed with trying to find the adventure before he died. They left the university to the company and finally, in the fifties and sixties adventure and can do whatever they want. Good luck. If they had done their adventures when they were younger it would not be so stubborn and obstinate and angry and frustrated. strong push to start the adventure. . .
But I also met people who were having a fantastic adventure while never leaving their communities. So much for the adventure that is only found in exotic places. I met many different types of people for whom every day was an adventure. If your day was anything but adventurous, adventure did. They could have jobs and live in communities and boring, but they have families who were always so enthusiastic about life and adventure that could hardly stand it.
What they do is create and customize your own adventure and become engaged by him. For them, every minute is pure joy in the celebration of being alive. They’re too busy being grateful to complain. They’re too busy being humiliated to be presumptuous. They understand that the best gift a man can extend the friendship and the here and now is the greatest gift of nature. What worries me?
I came to understand that they spend a hot night of Morocco in Rabat as he lay awake drenched in sweat in my hotel bed. I had been inside and got a nasty case of amoebic dysentery, diarrhea, fever, chills and everything.
I worried that I was a teenager with little money and very sick in a foreign country so far from home. In fact I did not worry at all. I knew it would be fine. I was going to survive this test, and anything else in the future.
