U.S. Mountain Biking Capital – Winter Park, Colorado

600 miles of trails, it’s no wonder why Winter Park has gained the title of “Mountain Bike Capital USA”. At the station is only 50 miles of single track trails accessible via chair lifts and marked with signs identifying skill level. Once at the top of the lifts you may want to stop sunspots in a quick snack, while enjoying the 360 degree views of the surrounding mountains. From there you can choose to run like the Arapahoe High, the alpine resort race course, or wind up the long road to a seven-mile novice ride.

Fraser Valley you can enjoy the trails of the wilderness of the Rocky Mountains, while cradled by spectacular mountains on all sides. The roads are still babbling brooks, glide through meadows of wildflowers and hike up the steep mountains.

Throughout the summer there are races that are open to the public and are available for many different skill levels. Most of the races either start or end at Winter Park Resort, including the final. . . The King of the Rockies. More information about these races below.

Repair, rental stores and are easy to find, if you’re in town, or downtown Winter Park. You can also find a variety of restaurants and bars with food that is as good as it is diverse.

Music sounds better with a backdrop, as the continental divide, and can only find out for yourself, as there are music festivals and concerts happening almost every weekend during the summer. Events like the Jazz Festival and the Food, Wine Beer Festival & may require advance planning to stay in Winter Park.
