There is nothing I look forward to more than the World Cup. I have always been a massive football fan, but when all of the top national teams in the world come together for the biggest tournament in the world, there is nothing that compares. I had always had a great time watching the world cup, but this year I wanted to make it even more special. Me and my friends decided that we would go abroad on holiday to coincide with the world cup.
I couldn’t think of anything better than soaking up the rays during the day time, and then gathering in a foreign bar with the drinks flowing freely, to watch the games in the evening. We started to decide where we might stay, and one of my friends had the bright idea that we could head out to Playa de Las Americas, in Tenerife. The thinking behind this was that it would be a great place to party if England did well. There would be plenty of other English people there too, and the climate in Tenerife is fantastic too. We also had a quick look at a Tenerife guide and it was obvious that there was loads going on over there. We started to search for Tenerife holidays online, and it has to be said that there was a great deal of choice given our fairly limiting budget.
We found a nice looking apartment which was in the heart of the area, and booked it up before we missed it. We could taste the anticipation of the two weeks we were going to have! All we had to do was hope and pray that England won the World Cup!
