This just in! Forgotten Buffalo will host a comprehensive tour of the Hydraulics, titled “Lurkin’ Round the Larkin District,” one week from today, on Friday, February 20th, at 5 pm.
The tour, to be hosted by television personality Maxwell Truth, will cost $40 and will include a meal and transportation. Forgotten Buffalo, beating the unbeaten path in search of lore and booze, is known for unraveling the hidden nooks of Buffalo – the “friendly & fun, quirky & quaint, nostalgic & new.”
Forgotten Buffalo’s tour website has the scoop:
With the conversion of the former Larkin Terminal Warehouse into high-end office space, a little known area of Buffalo near Seneca & Fillmore Avenues has come back to life. Known for many years as the Hydraulics, the neighborhood in and around John D. Larkin’s sprawling factory complex was one of Buffalo’s earliest manufacturing districts. Join Forgotten Buffalo as we tour the Larkin District, learn about this unique urban landscape, visit the famous “Our Lady of Seneca Street” shrine, and experience the neighborhood through the windows of classic Buffalo taverns.
Act quick! Tours tend to sell out early. Contact ForgottenBuffalo@aol.com or call 716-833-5211 to make reservations
